About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure system integrity, support pipeline operations, maintain compliance, and maintain facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated problems using technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment
- Develop, present, and deliver training to internal and external partners
- Mentor others and potentially coordinate team members’ work
- Participate in project planning and collaborate with company partners
- Lead development and tasks related to operations, equipment maintenance, technical standards, and governmental requirements
- Read, understand, and evaluate engineering design documents, contracts, and agreements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum six years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Safety as a main priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
- Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces
- Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads over 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods
- Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE
- Ability to use hand tools
- Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to work overtime and 10–12 hour shifts
- Willingness to travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field and minimum ten years of progressive experience in field operations/construction or another technical specialty field
