About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and other construction materials
- Conduct construction materials testing in accordance with ASTM, ACI, ICC, and GDOT standards
- Perform reinforcing steel (rebar) inspections
- Support commercial, industrial, transportation, and infrastructure projects
- Operate nuclear density gauges, compression machines, coring equipment, and other testing equipment
- Prepare accurate field reports and inspection documentation
- Communicate with contractors, engineers, project managers, and clients
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Preferred: Current certifications in one or more of the following: GDOT Roadway Testing Technician (RTT), ICC Special Inspector, Reinforcing Steel (Rebar), ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, Nuclear Density Gauge, NICET
- Experience with GDOT transportation projects is highly preferred
