About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather business requirements with customers and translate them into robust technical concepts
Design and implement modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure-related components
Work on data integration, data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and medallion architectures
Build lakehouse, warehouse, and reporting structures
Incorporate governance, roles, permissions, and operations
Support customers from the initial idea through MVPs to production-ready solutions
Support AI-powered analytics and collaboration scenarios
Assume technical and methodological responsibility within projects
Lead small teams, depending on experience
Support workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer for customers
Share knowledge within the Competence Center through internal sessions, how-to guides, templates, standards, and reusable solution components
Collaborate closely with Delivery, Sales, and other Competence Centers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience in data and analytics, ideally as a Consultant, Data Engineer, BI Consultant, or Solution Architect
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, dataflows, notebooks, and deployment pipelines
Experience with Power BI, data modeling, and building well-structured semantic models
Understanding of modern data platforms, medallion architectures, lakehouse/warehouse concepts, and data integration
Practical experience with SQL and ETL/ELT processes
Ideally, knowledge of Python, Spark, notebooks, or Azure Data Factory
Interest in modern AI and Copilot scenarios within the Microsoft ecosystem
Experience working on projects from requirements gathering through customer implementation
German language skills at C level
Good English skills
Self-motivated, pragmatic, solution-oriented, and willing to help shape a growing Competence Center
