About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own month-end close responsibilities for fixed assets, leases, and tariff and freight costs, including journal entries and critical reconciliations
  • Support reporting and other deliverable coordination with Alphabet
  • Work on system implementation projects to improve core ERP functionality and asset tracking and management
  • Identify system enhancements to accelerate the close cycle while maintaining accuracy
  • Review significant vendor and contract manufacturing contracts to ensure policy alignment and optimize accounting processes
  • Support local statutory accounting to ensure completeness of assets transferred between entities during a period
  • Review and provide accounting operations guidance on new leasing transactions or significant asset purchases
  • Strengthen and/or implement internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity
  • Partner with finance and other stakeholders to provide timely and transparent guidance on accounting impacts for key transactions
  • Establish and own cross-organizational relationships and build general ledger accounting policies for fixed assets, leases, tariff, and freight costs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of relevant accounting experience within technology, logistics, or manufacturing industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent practical experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) License is preferred
  • Strong understanding and application of accounting principles and financial reporting; GAAP required, IFRS nice to have
  • SAP S/4 or equivalent ERP experience
  • Experience building fixed asset control environments for multinational contract manufacturing, logistics, and operations footprints
  • Experience building accounting responsibilities for cycle counts, warehouse management, and scrap/asset disposition processes
  • Experience evaluating contracts and operationalizing contracts under ASC 842
  • Experience establishing and implementing processes that scale with business
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and accuracy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to independently drive multiple projects to completion under tight deadlines within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in the US; remote candidates must be within the US
