About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate autonomously in verification and validation activities for clinical solutions software
Design and develop procedures to test and report results and defects, including possible test planning
Design functional test case scenarios with strong coverage and build requirements traceability
Identify, report, and retest complex defects
Review requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure test coverage
Design and execute tests for non-functional requirements, including performance, cybersecurity, and usability
Generate advanced metrics to assess testing progress
Maintain daily test documentation records
Execute risk-based test cases and understand project safety risks
Participate in user-story risk analysis and build traceability to safety requirements and risk mitigations
Use cutting-edge technology to innovate while testing and developing
Collaborate with squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver product functionality
Potentially act as Scrum Master
Interface regularly with groups across the organization
Communicate with different teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Engineer, computer Science or other Technical degree, or equivalent work experience
Approximately 5-7 years of related experience
Medium SW Test automation experience
Medium Testing in Agile methodology
Experience in software functional and non-functional testing (desirable)
Experience with issue tracking and defect management
Experience in Software Medical Devices development that follows ISO 13485 is a plus
Solid knowledge of Test Design Techniques
Understanding of testing against functional software requirements in formal and exploratory testing
Advanced knowledge of test environment setup
Automation coding skills and/or good test case implementation in at least one layer
Capability to maintain scalable test infrastructure, including configuration control, branching strategies, frameworks/tools, pipelines, and Continuous Testing practices
Capability to adhere to an automated testing strategy and provide innovative ideas
Good English speaking and writing skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to multitask
Strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and team collaboration skills
Willingness to travel up to 5%
