About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take the technical lead of the Business Rules squad for CAYZN, Wiremind’s revenue management solution
  • Own the architecture of the business rules engine, including rule language, parsing, evaluation, and performance at scale
  • Design and develop efficient, maintainable code, mainly on the backend and on the frontend when needed
  • Own technical decisions involving refactoring, scalability, and trade-offs between new features and technical debt
  • Improve operational quality through monitoring, alerting, performance improvements, and incident follow-up
  • Understand revenue managers’ workflows to make effective implementation choices
  • Work with the Product Owner to plan and deliver work efficiently
  • Participate in roadmap decisions balancing refactoring, scaling, and new features
  • Review code and mentor developers in the squad
  • Share knowledge and introduce valuable practices, frameworks, or tools
  • Remain hands-on, spending around 70% of time developing challenging parts of the codebase
  • Collaborate with Product Experts, Data Scientists, and the Platform team to ship reliable, scalable features for international clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working with Python or a similar backend language on a large codebase with many contributors
  • Have already mentored or managed a small team of software engineers
  • Strong fullstack background with a backend-first mindset (Python)
  • Fully comfortable owning frontend work (Next.js or equivalent)
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with Product and align technical decisions with business priorities
  • Native or fluent level in French
  • Bonus: Experience in SaaS, event-tech, or working on complex interfaces and operations-heavy B2B2C products
  • Technical stack experience: Python 3.15, SQLAlchemy, Remoulade, Angular, TypeScript, D3.js, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, GitLab, Kubernetes, Prometheus/Grafana, Kibana
