About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the functional scope of a backend service in Wirex's card and payments platform
- Turn business needs and third-party/payment scheme integration requirements into clear specifications
- Ensure transaction flows and processor and scheme integrations, including VISA and Mastercard, are designed correctly across markets and implemented as intended
- Gather and analyze new requirements and changes concerning team service ownership
- Compose detailed and understandable system requirements as specifications
- Communicate team inputs and plans to other TPO/SPOs
- Communicate upcoming changes across surrounding microservices and client apps to the team
- Analyze third-party API documentation for banks, card processing, and payment integrators across different markets
- Create integration requirements for back-end developers
- Configure system settings
- Investigate issues
- Develop logic flows
- Ensure everything is implemented correctly
- Participate in product vision creation and functionality and ideas discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years experience as a System Analyst or Business analyst with technical background
- Deep experience in banking/payment cards
- Understanding in detail how payment cards work
- Knowledge of payment system protocols
- Knowledge of VISA, Mastercard requirements, technology, processes, and standards
- Knowledge of card processing protocols (ISO)
- Knowledge of reporting and reconciliation procedures
- Knowledge of integration processing services with 3rd party systems
- Experience managing card processing services integration/development and transaction processing services integration/development in the financial domain is a plus
- Experience working with API documentation and preparing integration logic
- Upper intermediate English
