About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and maintain SCADA databases, ensuring operations-critical data remains reliable, consistent and performant
Manage and maintain GIS records of grid physical assets, including lines, substations and equipment
Ensure consistency between SCADA and GIS network records by identifying and resolving discrepancies
Run and improve backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes
Optimize database and integration-process performance
Document procedures, changes and operational best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, including data modeling, points, alarms and network topology
Experience with backup, recovery and performance monitoring processes
Experience managing relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL
Strong SQL skills
Knowledge of GIS systems and electrical network modeling
Ability to work in critical environments with a high degree of rigor and responsibility
Fluent Portuguese
Technical English
Experience in the electricity sector or utilities is nice to have
Knowledge of OT protocols such as IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, DNP3 and Modbus is nice to have
Experience with ETL tools or scripting using Python, PowerShell or Bash is nice to have
