Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build products that empower patients
  • Keep patients at the center of technical decisions while advocating for privacy, security, and access to care
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and implement technical standards through code reviews, design discussions, and high-quality code
  • Balance speed with reliable, well-structured, extensible solutions
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders on complex projects
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and identify potential risks proactively
  • Serve as a technical resource and example for other engineers
  • Share knowledge through documentation and thoughtful code reviews
  • Provide guidance and help maintain quality standards across engineering deliverables
  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to technical discussions shaping project direction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of Full-Stack Engineering experience, or equivalent depth gained through other paths
  • Proven experience with a modern backend language/framework such as Python, Flask, or Django, or comparable experience with Node, Ruby, Go, etc.
  • Proven experience using AI dev tools
  • Proven experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL preferred
  • Professional experience working in a cloud-based environment using AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS preferred
  • Collaborative approach that empowers other engineers
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available
  • Nice to have: experience with sensitive data or regulated environments
  • Nice to have: AI product-feature experience such as chatbots or product recommendations
