About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the quality practice and test strategy for Flow
- Develop and maintain automated tests across desktop, mobile, backend services, and integrations
- Select the appropriate mix of unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage
- Partner with engineering to run automated checks against internal builds
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD and establish dependable release gates
- Explore real-world voice workflows, permissions, device and network changes, cross-app behavior, and updates
- Identify usability, consistency, and functional issues
- Prioritize testing by risk and investigate test failures
- Use test results, telemetry, and customer impact to make release recommendations
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and support from planning through launch
- Convert requirements, incidents, and escaped defects into improved test coverage
- Set testing standards, coach the QA team and testing partners, coordinate coverage, and remain hands-on with testing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience owning testing for complex software
- Experience building or maintaining automated test suites
- Ability to write readable test code, build fixtures and test harnesses, debug failures, and maintain reliable CI automation
- Ability to reason across clients, APIs, operating systems, and integrations
- Ability to determine where mocks, real devices, and end-to-end checks are appropriate
- Ability to turn vague reports into reproducible bugs and isolate root causes using logs and other evidence
- Product-minded and detail-oriented approach to usability, responsiveness, accessibility, and trust
- Clear communication and coaching ability
- Experience with native apps, audio, speech recognition, or AI output evaluation is a plus
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer
