About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze financial statements, assess risks, and provide recommendations on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
  • Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
  • Develop and implement change management plans during organizational changes
  • Supervise, train, and support engagement staff
  • Promote open communication with the engagement partner and manager
  • Inspire, develop, mentor, and retain staff while providing challenging assignments
  • Review and supervise preparation of compilation and review-level financial statements
  • Collaborate with tax, assurance and accounting, and advisory groups to identify opportunities to fully service clients
  • Remain current on technical and industry developments and standards and evaluate their impact on clients’ business and financial position
  • Participate in client proposals and identify new business development opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field of study
  • CPA license required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or a tax consulting practice
  • Experience working with a high volume of financial statements with tight deadlines
  • Strong accounting technical background and willingness to stay current on key law changes
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, mentoring, verbal, written, and presentation skills
