About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze financial statements, assess risks, and provide recommendations on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
- Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Provide guidance, training, and support to engagement staff
- Promote open communication with the engagement partner and manager
- Review and conduct financial statement reviews and compilations
- Collaborate with tax, assurance and accounting, and advisory groups to fully service clients
- Remain current on technical and industry developments and standards
- Evaluate the potential impact of developments and standards on clients’ businesses and financial positions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field of study
- CPA license preferred, or working towards CPA certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or a tax consulting practice
- Experience working with a high volume of financial statements with tight deadlines
- Strong technical accounting background
- Curiosity and willingness to stay current on key law changes
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills
- Exceptional client service and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong training and mentoring skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
