About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop evidence-based, recovery-oriented care plans
- Deliver brief psychological and psychosocial interventions, including individual and group-based therapeutic programs
- Manage a caseload of adults with complex mental health needs, providing coordinated care and ongoing case management
- Undertake clinical and suicide risk assessments, develop safety plans and respond to escalating risks
- Partner with GPs and multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated care, shared care planning and case conferencing
- Coordinate referrals and support safe transitions between services
- Provide clinical leadership through mentoring, secondary consultation and support for clinicians and new team members
- Maintain high-quality clinical records
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with clinical governance standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant tertiary qualification in a mental health or allied health discipline
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience supporting adults with severe and complex mental health needs
- Experience delivering evidence-based assessment, treatment and case management
- Expertise in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and culturally safe practice
- Experience conducting clinical and suicide risk assessments
- Ability to manage a caseload, build collaborative partnerships and work within multidisciplinary and primary care settings
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status, or as required by legislation and WMQ policy
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
