About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute and deliver assigned consulting projects
  • Develop and deliver insights using industry data, market research, and subject matter expertise
  • Support energy clients' supply chain and capital project execution decisions
  • Manage project schedules with project leads
  • Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants and perform QA/QC on their work
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and synthesize conclusions for strategic procurement and capital project decisions
  • Conduct market research on supply and demand factors
  • Support bidding processes for large capital project contracts and strategic supply chain initiatives
  • Perform pricing analysis, coordinate bidder correspondence, design and orchestrate bidder negotiations, and implement contracts
  • Support sourcing and vendor selection for client IT and digital programs, including RFP design and evaluation, software and system integrator pricing analysis, and contract and statement of work structuring
  • Coordinate with client supply chain management, PMOs, project executives, and engineering teams
  • Use WoodMac Energy Intelligence Platform tools to analyze spend, build cost models, forecast escalation, manage eSourcing bid events, and support consulting solutions
  • Train clients to use licensed WoodMac tools
  • Take increasing responsibility for managing internal and client teams while progressing toward Principal Consultant

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree with focus in engineering, science, supply chain or business required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years in a Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering function
  • Experience within the Power & Renewables and/or Oil & Gas sectors preferred
  • Exposure to IT or digital program environments is a plus, including ERP implementations, IT category sourcing or vendor management
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success contributing to team-oriented environments
  • Passion for supporting the development of Consultants and Senior Consultants
  • Demonstrated judgement, maturity, and understanding of client challenges and constraints
  • Comfortable working alongside client IT, PMO and engineering stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel 60–80% of the time
