About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximise commercial performance while managing business/project risk before and after contract award
  • Build contract sell-rates from first principles as part of pre-contract commercial pricing models
  • Commercialise sub-Business Group service offerings to support business growth and strategy
  • Prepare, analyse and review rates and prices for Wood’s services to a high standard
  • Develop teams with in-depth commercial and cross-functional expertise
  • Ensure compliance with relevant commercial and contracting policies
  • Resolve disputes, claims and cash collection issues
  • Embed effective commercial governance and assurance across the contract
  • Manage the tender governance process
  • Provide general direction in commercial activities throughout the contract lifecycle, from tenders through delivery to commercial closeout
  • Promote and demonstrate safety leadership behaviours
  • Act ethically and with the utmost integrity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, or similar discipline
  • 8-12 years’ experience with 4+ years’ experience in similar leadership/management role
  • Extensive and varied work experience providing knowledge of and exposure to key contractual and commercial management concepts and principles
  • Proven experience in contract administration including change management
  • Proven ability to prepare, analyse and review pricing for tender submissions
  • Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Experience in claims & dispute resolution
  • Full Australian work rights required
