About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shadow the experienced Hydrocarbon Allocation Engineer
  • Assist in providing accurate daily flow measurement totals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain the daily and monthly production allocation process for the client asset
  • Support hydrocarbon accounting, production reporting, metering validation, data correction, and compliance
  • Use Energy Builder and related metering systems to support financial reporting, partner allocations, regulatory obligations, and daily production operations
  • Gather and check daily production, laboratory, and equipment reports
  • Run hourly and daily allocation tracking and correct data errors to meet mass balance targets
  • Generate and issue reports and XML files with partners
  • Review data for total errors, equipment errors, system upsets, and unusual laboratory data
  • Calculate and issue mismeasurement reports
  • Verify allocation data across oil, gas, water, and injection systems
  • Update well statuses, storage data, and cargo details in Energy Builder
  • Run hourly, daily, and monthly production reports and verification checks
  • Maintain auditable measurement and allocation records
  • Monitor plant operations, oil and gas measurement, and overall mass balances
  • Conduct Bill of Lading shipping reviews
  • Collaborate with offshore operations, laboratory teams, measurement technicians, and business partners
  • Distribute allocation updates, balance sheets, and monthly financial reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Recent graduate engineer with a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree (BEng or MEng) in an Engineering discipline preferred
  • Industry experience is preferable
  • Demonstrate initiative and good communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements
  • Ability and desire to work in diverse and multi-disciplinary team environments
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
