About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the ongoing modifications portfolio for a North Sea client
- Provide instrumentation engineering expertise to the project team
- Define and approve technical scopes
- Provide discipline expertise to the business/project team
- Execute facility engineering design in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Identify scope and schedule changes through the Change Control Process
- Maintain planning and cost control on all scopes
- Provide discipline-specific guidance and coordinate delivery with remote team members in Global Execution Centres
- Participate in SIL assessments and workshops
- Lead and manage a small team, including junior engineers and engineers from the global execution centre
- Manage budgets and planning
- Engage significantly with client personnel while working largely under own direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification, or BSc, BEng or equivalent with relevant extensive experience in Brownfield Oil & Gas modifications
- Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent preferred but not essential
- Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
- Brownfield Oil & Gas experience in field instrumentation and control systems
- Ability to interpret client standards and provide input to package specifications
- Proficiency with specialist software packages necessary to fulfill the role
- Knowledge of international codes and client standards
- Knowledge of plant PCS, automation and industrial communications systems
- Functional safety awareness
- Experience applying HAZOP, HAZID and SIL
- Ability to work with applicable health, safety, environmental and quality systems
