About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement the project execution strategy
Ensure project scope is delivered safely, cost-effectively and on time, meeting or exceeding client expectations
Provide leadership to the project team on HSSE matters
Ensure employees and contractors follow the project HSSE execution plan
Monitor and review administration, document control, project control, staff planning, engineering, supply chain management, construction and pre-commissioning
Oversee project budgets, schedules and progress reports
Develop and manage project-specific change and risk management systems
Ensure permits, licenses and regulatory agency approvals are met and up to date
Organize and lead planning sessions, team-building workshops and project coordination meetings
Implement internal, client, risk, constructability and independent peer reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a Mining EPCM Engineering environment, mining construction and/or mining operations
Minimum 15 years as a Project Manager on several large mining projects ($100 Mn - $1 Bn) in lithium, gold, copper and other precious metals
Mining project experience and construction execution experience are essential
Experience managing greenfield or large brownfield projects is required
Ability to develop new, proprietary and innovative solutions to current processes
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced English is highly desirable
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including to remote locations
Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is considered an asset
English CV preferred
