About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a role model for Safety, Ethics, and Integrity, promoting a safe working culture aligned with Wood and client standards
  • Lead the execution of assigned projects, ensuring schedule, cost, quality, and performance objectives are met
  • Establish and implement execution strategies aligned with contractual requirements and client objectives
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and promote integration across disciplines and interfacing areas
  • Ensure effective project financial management, including revenue, margins, invoicing, and cash flow
  • Lead risk, change, and scope deviation management processes
  • Lead technical and commercial negotiations with clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, identifying business opportunities and contract expansion potential
  • Prepare and present management reports and performance indicators to clients and leadership
  • Monitor project KPIs and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure alignment among engineering, procurement, construction, planning, and other involved functions
  • Work across studies, FEL, FEED, detailed engineering, execution, and commissioning phases
  • Support the development and training of the project team
  • Promote continuous improvement of project management processes and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with an active CREA registration
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Proven experience with large-scale engineering and/or execution projects
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas (O&G), Mining & Minerals (M&M), or related industries
  • Experience managing Engineering, EPCM, EPC, or Technical Services contracts
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced knowledge of planning, cost control, risk management, contract management, and change control
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software and tools
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent certification preferred
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Project Management preferred
  • Experience in FEL, FEED, and Detailed Engineering preferred
  • Experience with brownfield and greenfield projects preferred
  • Knowledge of portfolio and program management preferred
  • Experience in multicultural environments and working with international clients preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred
