About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and contribute to the production of technical documentation according to client requirements, timelines, quality standards, and budget
  • Plan, coordinate, track, and report editorial work
  • Produce new documents in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Edit, update, and rewrite existing documents to agreed standards, style, and format
  • Write, rewrite, and reformat documents in Plain English or to Human Factors standards where required
  • Ensure the quality of documents produced under their jurisdiction
  • Coordinate Editorial and Publishing team members and manage quality control and work processes
  • Prioritize workload and delegate tasks
  • Coordinate client and in-house department activities to meet standards, deliverables, and budget
  • Establish file structures and manage electronic files with an auditable trail
  • Advise clients on templates, textual preferences, document control procedures, and final deliverables
  • Track and report project progress and costs, including setting up tracking sheets and checklists
  • Maintain job-specific and company records

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Higher (or equivalent) in English
  • Previous experience in a similar editorial role
  • Experience within the oil & gas sector or a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of online editing, documentation systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong planning, coordination, and workload management abilities
  • Experience in proofreading, editing, and producing technical documentation
  • Familiarity with online document management systems such as SharePoint and Documentum
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
