About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide timely advice and guidance on Health, Safety and Environment matters relating to legislation, company policy, management systems and client requirements
  • Develop annual HSE improvement plans aligned with company, client and business-unit objectives
  • Manage project HSE interface requirements and ensure compliance with interface documents
  • Communicate HSE interface requirements to relevant personnel
  • Manage HSE incident investigations and reporting
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits
  • Communicate incident and accident lessons learned
  • Report project and corporate-function deficiencies and record reportable issues in HSE systems
  • Ensure project emergency response arrangements are established and communicated
  • Liaise with client HSE representatives and offshore/site safety representatives
  • Manage participation in project HSE meetings, workshops and forums
  • Maintain systems for monitoring HSE performance
  • Develop offshore/site HSE visit programmes
  • Promote workforce involvement in HSE activities, initiatives and programmes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • C&G, ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSE or related industry
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • NVQ Level 4 IOSH desirable
  • Experience in a relevant technical role or association with an HSE role
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Competent user of MS Office Suite
  • High level of written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to present HSE presentations and programmes
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with peers, clients and stakeholders
  • Comfortable in client and other third-party environments
  • Commitment to company and client values
