About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop understanding of fundamental cybersecurity controls, processes, and tasks
  • Assist with planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of information security controls
  • Perform configuration and health checks of operational security tooling
  • Conduct security audits on applications and systems; document and present findings and recommendations
  • Partner with engineers to validate remediation and measure impact
  • Research and develop information security techniques and automate repetitive analysis and response tasks
  • Assist with the Third-Party Service Provider program, including monitoring security profiles, risk assessments, documentation, evidence collection, and ticketing automation
  • Support specialized projects and strategic initiatives
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments, artificial intelligence initiatives, internal security audits, detection engineering, log onboarding, data quality improvement, and security workflow automation
  • Attend intern cohort meetings, executive leadership meetings, and one-on-one meetings with division leaders
  • Prepare and present a capstone presentation covering project accomplishments, skill development, and key learnings
  • Shadow office positions and participate in internal training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college, currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field(s)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
  • Clear and effective communication while working collaboratively
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Innovation-first and DevSecOps mindset
  • Ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful customer service
  • Passion for making an impact in local communities
  • Must complete criminal background check, credit check when required, fingerprint check when required, drug screen, and reference checks; employment contingent upon successfully passing required checks
