About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with administrative functions supporting the Business Technology division’s daily objectives
- Gain exposure to planning, execution, and evaluation stages of work projects and initiatives
- Meet weekly with the Internship Cohort, Executive Leadership, and division-level leaders
- Summarize and present a capstone presentation covering internship accomplishments, skill development, and key learnings
- Serve as a key member of the Agile intern team through the Scrum Master role
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives
- Participate in Scaled Agile activities such as PI Planning and cross-team coordination
- Identify and resolve impediments, manage dependencies, and maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog with Product Owners
- Coach team members on Agile principles, tools, and best practices
- Use team metrics such as quality, cadence, and predictability to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with user story estimation and forecasting
- Seek mentorship and participate in learning communities focused on Lean-Agile techniques and Scrum Master responsibilities
- Communicate progress, challenges, and risks to leadership
- Support use of Agile tools including Azure DevOps and Microsoft 365
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college with area of study in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems or related fields
- Must have a 3.5 or higher GPA
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Aptitude to learn Agile tools supporting metrics and iterative development, including ADO, VSTS, and Jira
- Ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful customer service
- Passion for making an impact in local communities
- Familiarity with Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Basic knowledge of Agile metrics, including velocity, predictability, and delivery cadence
- Collaboration skills, including teamwork, valuing diverse perspectives, and exchanging constructive feedback
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptability and resilience, with a growth mindset
- Successful completion of criminal background, credit, fingerprint, drug screen, and reference checks when applicable
