About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in ground and flight operations, including mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, communications, and safety.
  • Ensure proper collection of data for accuracy and quality.
  • Understand the collection of tactical and wide area mapping.
  • Comply with governing regulations and established operating procedures and practices.
  • Download, edit, and troubleshoot collected sensor data in the field.
  • Set up and operate ground GPS base stations and conduct flight planning.
  • Report on sensor operations for airborne mapping missions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. or two (2) years of related experience; degree in GIS, geography, or related discipline preferred.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, moderate to high, domestically and possibly internationally; must be willing to travel on a rotating schedule of 21 days on and 14 days off.
  • Preferred knowledge of ESRI software, ArcGIS, Leica FlightPro, TerraSolid and or TerraSolid.
  • Preferred experience operating Leica Terrain Mapper, ADS 100, and DMC.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Above average Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and respond to industry changes and internal initiatives.
