About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and maintain the whole family of environments behind one service line
- Act as the reference point for Windows Server and the Microsoft tool suite
- Manage update management, configuration management, directory and federation services
- Write and maintain PowerShell automation
- Maintain configuration management that keeps every machine consistent
- Troubleshoot systems and services to determine root cause
- Clearly document what happened when systems or services misbehave
- Bring new services into operation
- Improve existing services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid hands-on administration of Windows and Windows Server in a large organisation, with the surrounding Microsoft management stack
- Real scripting ability in PowerShell
- Configuration management tooling such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Comfortable troubleshooting both servers and end-user machines under time pressure
- Working knowledge of a virtualisation stack
- Ideally, containers or public cloud
- Professional English
- Habit of writing down what you changed
- Security clearance for the NATO-related role is indicated in the headline
