About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide end-to-end oversight and coordination of annual statutory reporting across multiple international entities
  • Coordinate US GAAP to local GAAP adjustments, financial statements, and filings
  • Lead and develop a team of accountants, including full-time staff and contractors
  • Review month-, quarter-, and year-end close deliverables for critical balance sheet areas
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and analytical results
  • Deliver monthly management reporting, analytics, and executive review decks for Finance leadership
  • Conclude on complex transactions under local GAAP and partner with Technical Accounting on US GAAP treatment
  • Advise Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Accounts Payable, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other business partners
  • Drive close optimization and strengthen close governance through automation and AI-driven tools
  • Communicate close results, critical accounting matters, and statutory reporting status to management
  • Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies and process documentation
  • Lead and support ad hoc initiatives and cross-functional projects, including system enhancements and onboarding new entities
  • Report to the Director of General Ledger Accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including in publicly traded companies
  • 3 years of direct people management experience
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Public accounting and industry experience preferred
  • Operational and technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or providing oversight for financial statements and statutory reports
  • Experience engaging with local auditors across multiple jurisdictions
  • Technical accounting experience with debt, investments, prepaids, intangibles, and fixed assets
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls
  • Proficiency with accounting and financial systems, including Sage Intacct, BlackLine, BNA, Coupa, Workday, and Workiva
  • Advanced computer skills, including Google and/or MS Office suites and spreadsheet data analysis
  • Experience in a global environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, processes, and deadlines simultaneously under pressure
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for internal events and team meetings
  • Reliable internet access when working remotely outside a Workiva office
