About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the business
Translate financial and operational performance into insights, variance analysis, risks, opportunities, and recommendations for senior leadership
Partner with commercial, operational, functional, local finance, and group finance teams on strategic initiatives and business performance
Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages for decision-making and investment cases
Align local German reporting requirements with group-level expectations within a U.S. publicly listed company environment
Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, planning tools, data quality, reporting automation, and performance management routines
Collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, external auditors, system implementation partners, and corporate reporting teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Approximately 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, controlling, corporate finance, or a related finance function
Experience ideally in an international or matrixed organization
Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, management reporting, variance analysis, and business performance management
Understanding of the relationship between balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement
Advanced Excel skills
Hands-on experience with ERP, planning, and reporting tools such as Oracle NetSuite, Oracle Fusion, Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, Hyperion, OneStream, or similar
Strong commercial mindset and analytical thinking
Stakeholder management skills and confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decision-making
Fluent English required
Professional qualification such as MBA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is an asset
Experience preparing board materials, earnings support schedules, management review packs, or group reporting deliverables is a bonus
Exposure to finance transformation, planning system implementation, BI dashboards, or reporting automation projects is a bonus
Experience in a high-growth, complex, multinational, or publicly listed company environment is a bonus
