About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own reliability, freshness, and scaling of ingestion and orchestration pipelines landing source data in Snowflake
  • Develop monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and backfill/reprocessing patterns
  • Design, build, and scale Bronze, Silver, and Gold dbt models for billing, usage, CRM, product events, and GTM funnel reporting
  • Partner with Product, Finance, RevOps, and GTM to define metrics and codify them in the warehouse
  • Diagnose and resolve data quality and freshness issues at the source
  • Own Snowflake RBAC, dynamic masking, and PII classification for humans, agents, and service accounts
  • Review DDL and access requests from Engineering and GTM
  • Own reverse-ETL systems and runbooks delivering warehouse data to Salesforce, Slack, and internal agents
  • Extend semantic views, context, and evaluations for accurate agent responses
  • Expand agent-operated workflows from runbooks and ingestion to pull requests
  • Build and advance CI/CD review gates in the data-platform monorepo
  • Own compute, deployments, secrets, access patterns, and environments for the data platform
  • Partner with infrastructure engineers on availability and failure modes
  • Standardize Postgres and SaaS ingestion and consolidate pipeline deployment in Prefect
  • Manage Snowflake RBAC, resource management, and masking policies as code with Terraform
  • Automate masking coverage, Identity Graph matching, transcript aggregation, PII detection, reverse-ETL frameworks, and runbooks
  • Run self-hosted data services on Kubernetes and manage AWS resources as code with Terraform

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years (or equivalent) building and operating production data platforms, including the transformation layer
  • Deep experience with Snowflake, dbt, and an orchestrator such as Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster
  • Experience ingesting data from production databases and SaaS sources, including backfill and reprocessing patterns
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, debugging, incident response habits, and pragmatic SLO/SLA thinking
  • Experience with warehouse access governance: RBAC, masking policies, and PII handling
  • Strong data modeling judgment and understanding of schema evolution
  • Strong SQL and Python
  • Disciplined engineering practices: tests, documentation, reviews, and CI/CD
  • Proven experience operating as the only engineer on a layer
  • Working knowledge of GTM, Finance, and Product operations
  • Experience translating ambiguous business questions into technical specifications
  • Comfortable using LLMs and coding agents in day-to-day development
  • Judgment to validate AI-generated output and scale it into shared processes
  • Systems thinking around freshness, correctness, and failure modes
  • Pragmatic approach to building and scaling solutions
  • Ability to work with AI and automation to scale platform work
