About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Dashboard engineering team across customer onboarding and growth, billing and monetization, and AI assistance
  • Build and lead a high-velocity team that ships polished product quickly
  • Read pull requests, write prototypes, and work with technical leads on architecture and project scope
  • Shape the roadmap with product managers, design, go-to-market, finance, and engineering
  • Identify customer problems, propose directions, and drive product decisions from problem definition through outcome measurement
  • Improve the customer journey from signup to production and expansion using product signals and customer feedback
  • Balance rapid product iteration with billing reliability and correctness and high-quality AI assistance
  • Drive clarity, focus, urgency, and sustainable execution
  • Spend time with customers and engineers to investigate pain points, test assumptions, and improve engineering craft
  • Coach, mentor, and grow engineers through feedback, goals, and ownership
  • Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent
  • Build growth and onboarding capabilities for developers
  • Develop annual-credit, automated billing, pricing, usage, and credit visibility features
  • Coordinate Dashboard Agent, WorkOS MCP server, Ask WorkOS, and Support Bot experiences with shared retrieval, evaluations, and quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Track record of successfully leading product-focused engineering teams in high-performing organizations that shipped real impact
  • High-level coding experience and willingness to remain hands-on
  • Bias for action and scrappiness, optimizing for velocity, customer value, and learning
  • Deep care for developer experience, including UX, APIs, performance, edge cases, and joy
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to build trust, give direct feedback, and create space for engineers to thrive
  • Experience partnering with internal recruiting teams to drive effective and fair hiring processes
  • Track record of recruiting, hiring, and mentoring top engineering talent
  • Strong product thinking connecting customer needs, technical possibilities, and business outcomes
  • Ability to collaborate with product managers and drive product decisions using customer insight and evidence
  • Experience with onboarding and growth, billing systems, or customer-facing AI products is especially relevant
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is requested in the application form
