About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support WWF’s Wild Classroom program in building educators’ capacity and increasing K–12 environmental literacy
  • Develop engaging and inclusive educational resources, including curricula, presentations, videos, activities, readings, handouts, quizzes, and educator-facing materials
  • Collaborate with WWF programmatic teams and marketing and communications teams during content development
  • Research education trends, conservation education, teaching strategies, and inclusive learning practices
  • Support marketing and communications efforts to grow Wild Classroom’s reach and engagement
  • Identify opportunities to share program resources and updates and support outreach initiatives and special activations
  • Support educational partnerships and collaborative projects through research, coordination, and content production
  • Monitor and respond to student and educator inquiries
  • Review program communications and resources through an educational lens
  • Monitor and evaluate program tactics and provide feedback and recommendations to strengthen impact and engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current enrollment or a completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or environmental sciences
  • Experience educating youth in a formal or nonformal setting
  • Experience developing education material for formal or nonformal learning settings
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with AI and Adobe Suite appreciated
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Creative and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to WWF’s mission, goals, and values; passion for education and conservation
  • Available full-time for one year
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
