About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run the monthly close for several entities in QuickBooks Online, including bank and exchange reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany due to/due from tie-outs, and eliminations for the consolidated package
Maintain crypto subledgers by importing and validating exchange and on-chain transaction data and reconciling balances to source
Reconcile trading and liquidity activity across CEX accounts, perpetual venues such as Hyperliquid, and DeFi LP positions on Solana and EVM chains
Produce P&L and rollforward schedules
Set up and maintain charts of accounts for new entities and business lines
Prepare monthly retainer and revenue share invoices and maintain Excel billing trackers
Support entity structuring, intercompany loans, capital contributions and distributions, and related party transaction accounting
Help prepare annual filings and tax workpapers, including BVI financial returns and federal tax memos
Assemble KYB packages, member and manager registers, and documentation for banks, brokers and institutional partners
Help maintain AML/OFAC program documentation and coordinate responses to regulatory and law enforcement records requests
Support HR and payroll operations in Rippling, including deduction setups, payroll corrections and contractor tracking
Build and maintain Excel and Google Sheets models, including amortization schedules, loan workbooks, portfolio trackers and deal models

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ideally 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in crypto or digital assets
CPA, or actively working toward it
Familiarity with digital asset accounting, including wallets, token transfers, swaps and perpetuals
Working understanding of DeFi, including liquidity pools, AMMs, lending protocols and staking, and their accounting treatment
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and at least one crypto subledger
Strong Excel skills, including INDEX/MATCH, dropdown-driven models and reconciliations
Comfort with multi-entity and intercompany accounting, including related party considerations under GAAP
Ability to exercise judgment on escalation and communicate clearly verbally and in writing
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice to have: experience with crypto subledger platforms such as TRES, Koinly and Breezing
Nice to have: experience with entity structuring, intercompany arrangements and offshore entities
Nice to have: exposure to BVI or other offshore entity reporting
Nice to have: scripting ability with Python or Apps Script
Nice to have: experience with Rippling or another EOR/payroll platform
