About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end sales processes for enterprise-level insurance opportunities and deliver against revenue and strategic targets
  • Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and client management teams on go-to-market efforts and enterprise targets
  • Increase Wrisk’s profile across target sectors through campaigns, joint sales and marketing initiatives, and industry engagement
  • Identify, qualify, and nurture a pipeline of high-potential clients through complex sales cycles
  • Lead cross-functional teams across commercial, platform product, legal, compliance, and underwriting capacity partners
  • Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations and build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Use performance data, market insights, and competitor analysis to refine business development strategies and support commercial planning
  • Provide win/lose debriefs and collaborate with product teams to incorporate client requirements into Wrisk’s capability roadmap

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated success as an enterprise-level business development “hunter” in complex sales environments, consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Significant experience within the UK insurance partnerships sector, such as OEM, Retail, or Bancassurance
  • Strong understanding of the UK general insurance market, MGA operating models, delegated authority, and relevant FCA regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to navigate long sales cycles, build consensus across matrixed enterprise clients, and close multi-faceted commercial contracts
  • Experience working within a mature, multi-disciplinary commercial unit
  • Ability to structure profitable, scalable deals aligned with client strategic objectives
  • Exceptional communication, pitch presentation, and negotiation skills with board/executive-level credibility
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing enterprise priorities in a fast-paced scale-up environment
  • Ability to translate market data, pricing structures, and performance metrics into actionable sales strategies
  • ACII qualification is highly desirable, or equivalent proven insurance market experience
