About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advising and supporting nationally and internationally active groups and family-owned businesses on all tax matters, including shareholder-level issues
  • Reviewing tax returns, tax balance sheets, and current and deferred tax calculations under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS as part of quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Acting as a point of contact for the tax authorities and supporting tax audits
  • Managing and advising on projects involving the restructuring of corporate and financing structures, acquisition and divestment projects, and business succession
  • Preparing tax opinions and applications for binding rulings on complex corporate tax matters
  • Conducting complex tax simulation calculations and developing tax planning measures
  • Assuming a mentoring role for the team
  • Serving as a trusted point of contact for clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed a degree in business administration, law, or a related field with a focus on taxation
  • Ideally, passed the German Tax Advisor Examination or the First or Second State Examination in Law
  • Several years of professional experience at a tax consultancy firm, in the tax administration, or in the tax department of a national or international group
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications
  • Proficient in DATEV
  • Team-oriented, strong communication skills, and highly motivated
  • Solution-oriented approach to work
  • Enjoyment of communicating with clients, taking responsibility for projects, and supporting the professional and personal development of the team
