About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of software systems
- Assist with system modifications, updates, testing, error correction, user security management, data import/export, and basic reporting
- Collaborate with senior team members and business partners to gather requirements and align technical solutions with business objectives
- Coordinate project scope, deliverables, schedules, milestones, meetings, documentation, risks, issues, and status reporting
- Provide end-user support, classroom and one-on-one training, readiness assessments, systems support, and training content development
- Participate in continuous learning, basic research, workshops, knowledge sharing, and cross-team collaboration
- Travel to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites as needed for implementations, training, and support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR two (2) years of relevant experience
- Relevant certifications and/or proficiencies may be required, with a target completion within 90 days following formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology
- Foundational experience analyzing business needs and documenting functional specifications
- Foundational proficiency with process maps, workflow diagrams, and data analytics
- Ability to troubleshoot and test systems
- Written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical information
- Ability to respond to unexpected changes and system issues
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and DICOM is preferred
- Experience with healthcare applications, web services, systems administration, clinical settings, clinical data management, cloud-based applications, reporting tools, and advanced workflows is preferred
