About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform lease management-related accounting functions in accordance with GAAP and ASC 842
  • Complete new lease setup and lease reviews
  • Initiate lease payments
  • Maintain lease management software and submit accurate financial data during month-end
  • Provide lease documentation for month-end, budget preparation, and external audit
  • Provide lease guidance to lease contacts to ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate and monitor financial controls and accurate lease-processing data
  • Evaluate lease processes and ensure internal controls are followed
  • Investigate and communicate variance issues to the supervisor or manager
  • Develop and submit analytical financial data
  • Support budget and external audit documentation
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, OR Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Business Management with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • Prior experience with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842 or Lease Accounting preferred
  • Ability to work with computers and spreadsheet software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and interpretive skills preferred
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Normal office environment
