  • Collect holistic and culturally sensitive data and assess family dynamics affecting health and wellness
  • Apply the ANA code of ethics and identify discriminatory healthcare practices
  • Individualize care based on patient beliefs, barriers, and readiness to learn
  • Complete annual specialty-accreditation education where applicable
  • Work as a cross-trained PreOp, PostOp, and Circulating nurse
  • Work Monday through Friday with flexed time and varied shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided, or current multistate Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse
  • Ability to provide professional nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Knowledge and skills at the advanced beginner level
  • Ability to assess and interpret patient data for age-specific needs
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate, negotiate, and resolve conflict
  • Competent clinical practice and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work volume, staffing, schedules, workloads, and assignments
  • Ability to work under highly stressful conditions
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying materials and equipment weighing 40+ pounds
  • Visual acuity within normal range
  • Hearing within normal range
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) preferred
