Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided, or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • Two years of registered nursing experience
  • Required demonstration of regularly being a charge nurse and/or precepting new staff or nursing students
  • Ability to provide professional nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Competent clinical knowledge, skills, critical thinking, and independent nursing judgment
  • Ability to assess and interpret patient data and apply age-specific growth and development principles
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under highly stressful conditions and adapt to varying workloads and assignments
  • Ability to work varied schedules and irregular hours
  • Ability to lift, move, stoop, reach, stand, walk, and carry materials/equipment weighing 40+ pounds
  • Visual acuity and hearing within normal range
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
  • Ability to work around biohazards, infectious diseases, deceased persons, water, and electrical hazards
