About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own content end-to-end for a product domain or major feature set
- Design multi-state flows, error systems, naming, and messaging frameworks
- Contribute to editorial guidelines and content patterns and improve consistency
- Partner with UX researchers, design copy tests, and apply research findings
- Influence product managers, designers, and engineers by clarifying system behaviour through content
- Lead content quality within a tribe or domain
- Create clear, consistent interaction content that reduces friction, improves task success, and supports users across flows and states
- Own content for complex features and journeys
- Shape editorial standards and content patterns
- Collaborate with design, research, and engineering
- Bring evidence-based writing into product decisions
- Elevate craft quality for the chapter
Requirements
What you’ll need- A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in writing, communications, journalism, linguistics, marketing, design, or a related field
- Additional training or applied learning in UX writing, content design, editorial practice, copywriting, or content strategy is advantageous
- Typically 3–5+ years of UX writing or content design experience on complex products, services, or journeys
- Strong judgment and ability to handle ambiguity
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including copy within flows, annotation, and design-system component literacy
- Proficiency in Miro/FigJam for mapping content logic
- Proficiency in design system tooling, including content patterns and naming systems
- Proficiency in copy testing and comprehension methods
- Proficiency in collaboration platforms: Jira, Confluence, Notion, and Google Suite
- Proficiency in accessibility checkers and writing for WCAG
- Ability to write clear, succinct, high-impact content for complex user tasks
- Ability to write for multi-step flows, system messages, and cross-channel interactions
- Ability to develop reusable content patterns
- Ability to identify copy-related issues during research
- Ability to clarify ambiguous logic in product requirements
