About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advising customers on cloud architectures, DevOps strategies, and platform concepts
- Designing and supporting the development of cloud service management platforms, including their integration into existing operations and governance models
- Designing target architectures for CI/CD, container, and infrastructure environments
- Translating business requirements into technical concepts
- Advising on the adoption of DevOps practices, platform engineering approaches, and self-service models
- Developing architecture decision records, reference architectures, and governance concepts for monitoring, logging, and security in multicloud environments
- Facilitating architecture workshops and presentations for executive-level stakeholders
- Convincing IT leaders and technical teams of the value of architectural concepts
- Providing technical leadership in complex consulting projects
- Contributing to the strategic development of the cloud and DevOps consulting portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree, for example in computer science or business information systems, or an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience
- Several years of consulting experience as a cloud or DevOps architect, ideally in regulated industries
- In-depth conceptual understanding of cloud service management and brokerage platforms, as well as experience integrating them into complex IT environments
- Strong architectural knowledge of Kubernetes (OpenShift, Rancher), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), GitLab CI, AWS, Azure, GCP, and OpenStack
- Experience designing security architectures and identity concepts using OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as arc42 or TOGAF, as well as creating architecture documentation and decision records
- Programming knowledge in Python, Go, or Java
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German (C2) and English (at least B2)
- Hands-on mentality, high self-motivation, and a service-oriented mindset
- Team player with strong documentation skills and a proactive approach to knowledge sharing
- Active interest in trends in cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering
- Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, or ITIL Practitioner are optional and may also be obtained after joining
