About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, maintain, and review backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and scalable backend solutions
Develop and support applications based on microservices architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver new features
Participate in technical discussions, presentations, architecture decisions, and backend development initiatives
Work with Kafka for event-driven and distributed application architectures
Work with PostgreSQL, including designing and optimizing complex SQL queries
Implement and maintain data persistence using JPA
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
Analyze and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Follow SDLC and CI/CD processes and contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment practices
Work collaboratively within an Agile team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional experience with Java, with strong hands-on expertise in Spring Web, Spring Boot, REST APIs, application security, and microservices architecture
Solid understanding of software design patterns, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
Strong experience working with Kafka, Elasticsearch or SOLR, AWS, JPA, and PostgreSQL
Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
Proficiency with IntelliJ IDEA, Git (GitHub/GitLab), JIRA, Docker, and Maven
In-depth understanding of SDLC and CI/CD processes
Availability to work until 3:00 PM CST
Upper-Intermediate English proficiency
