About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, deploy, and operate a DoD-wide TCPED workflow management platform
Integrate off-the-shelf and new development efforts to sustain and enhance existing architecture
Leverage cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cross-domain transfer systems
Work with system integration engineers to deploy release candidates to production
Participate in test, staging, and production deployment
Integrate container-based Appian using Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and other DevOpsSec tools
Assist in maintaining services and procedures for a big data pipeline using Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Python/Java microservices on Kubernetes
Monitor automated system integration tests to identify failed modules and components
Manage project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines
Collaborate with team members to provide quality service and products to the customer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
Active Secret clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph
Experience with Appian
Experience with containerization
Development and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash
Experience with DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD tools and practices, especially GitLab or Jenkins
Experience with Agile practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well on a team and work independently
Preferred: experience with systems at scale
Preferred: Kafka or other message passing systems
Preferred: experience on a production/enterprise system
Preferred: cloud infrastructure experience
Preferred: Appian certification
Preferred: experience with Java, Kubernetes monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), Appian integration with PostgreSQL or other DB, SALT, GraphQL, Elasticsearch/Kibana/Logstash administration, Helm and Helmfile
Preferred: at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CISSP (or Associate)
Preferred: ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy
