About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a large national background investigations program providing investigative products and services to federal government departments and agencies
- Review completed background interview documentation for inconsistencies, errors, omissions, falsifications, and minimum requirements
- Conduct background investigations by interviewing employers, co-workers, neighbors, law enforcement officials, military personnel, family members, and personal references
- Prepare detailed and complete interview statements for each interviewee
- Prepare documentation for inclusion in results-of-investigation packages
- Organize investigative material according to established procedures
- Prepare detailed summaries of adverse information based on objective analysis and evaluation of candidate backgrounds and interviewee statements
- Conduct interviews remotely and/or in person
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Top-Secret clearance
- Must have successfully completed NTS Background Investigator training course and required Post-NTS mentoring
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to conduct interviews virtually at home
- Candidates with active DHS credentials will be prioritized
- Spanish speaking is a plus
