About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack containerized microservices architecture
  • Perform technical systems administration, installation, and configuration
  • Foster a DevOps culture and collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams
  • Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline using Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
  • Enhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes, including AI-integrated failure analysis, security, and compliance solutions
  • Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtualized environments
  • Configure Kubernetes continuous deployments using Helm, YAML, and ArgoCD
  • Collaborate with System Engineers on solutions for new features and requirements
  • Provide technical input to systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models with systems engineering and architecture teams
  • Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions, and other meetings
  • Develop PaaS solutions for hybrid deployments and secure multi-tenant GPU sharing in Kubernetes environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, systems engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with a Master’s degree
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • At least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP, or CISSP Associate
  • Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes
  • Troubleshooting experience with Ingress/Gateway API, multi-tenant GPU sharing, Helm chart design/build, pod disruption budgets, and affinity/anti-affinity rules
  • Familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, and ECK (Elasticsearch)
  • GitLab pipeline development experience, including CI/CD components, Code Quality reports, and Code Coverage/Test reports
  • Knowledge of Linux OS and sysctls for Kubernetes environments
  • FAPolicyd and SELinux experience
  • Comfortable with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution
  • Preferred: experience with systems at scale, Agile processes and techniques, Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, production/enterprise systems, Kafka or other message-passing systems, Kubernetes monitoring, GPU-based Kubernetes, SALT deployment automation, Helm/Helmfile, and Nexus
