About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservices architecture running on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes
Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtualized environments
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new feature requirements
Collaborate with Systems Engineers to design solutions for new features and requirements
Provide technical input to systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models in coordination with Systems Engineering and Architecture teams
Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions, and other meetings
Contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full-stack containerized microservices architecture
Perform technical systems administration, installation, and configuration
Foster DevOps culture and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, systems engineering, or a related field
6+ years of experience with a Master’s degree
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
Knowledge of navigating Linux OS
Experience with containers/container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes
Skill with CI/CD pipeline orchestration and GitLab
Comfort with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution
Preferred: experience with systems at scale
Preferred: knowledge of Agile processes and techniques
Preferred: experience with Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, or similar technologies
Preferred: experience on production/enterprise systems
Preferred: experience with Kafka or other message-passing systems
Preferred: Kubernetes monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana
Preferred: GPU-based Kubernetes
Preferred: SALT for deployment automation
Preferred: Helm and Helmfile
Preferred: Nexus
