About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the DOMEX Technology Platform program, centralizing and standardizing OSINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination across the DoD and IC enterprise
- Lead a DevOps team responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a full-stack containerized microservices architecture
- Perform technical systems administration, installation, and configuration
- Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
- Enhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes
- Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant physical and virtualized infrastructure
- Configure Kubernetes deployments with Helm for new feature requirements
- Collaborate with systems engineers and architects on solutions, documentation, diagrams, and models
- Own and prioritize the Agile team backlog
- Break down features, prioritize work, and clarify requirements
- Support SAFe Program Increment planning and execution
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Monitor sprint and program progress and help resolve dependencies, risks, and impediments
- Review and accept completed work against business requirements and quality standards
- Communicate priorities, progress, and product goals with stakeholders, developers, and leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with 12+ years in software development, systems engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience with a Master’s degree
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph
- Current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, or CISSP (or Associate)
- Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification
- Experience with containers and container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes
- Troubleshooting experience with Ingress/Gateway API, Helm chart design/build, pod disruption budgets, and affinity/anti-affinity rules
- Familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, and ECK (Elasticsearch)
- GitLab pipeline development experience, including GitLab CI/CD components, Code Quality reports, and Code Coverage/Test reports
- Knowledge of Linux OS, including sysctls for Kubernetes environments
- FApolicyd and SELinux experience
- Comfortable with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
- Experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile software development team
- Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
- Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management teams
- Ability to manage expectations and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Preferred: experience with Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, production/enterprise systems, Kafka or other messaging systems, Kubernetes monitoring, GPU-based Kubernetes, SALT deployment automation, or Nexus
