About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and improve automated quality engineering across multiple test layers
  • Develop and maintain TypeScript and Playwright test frameworks
  • Automate API and integration tests and apply contract testing principles
  • Collaborate with developers on unit and component testing, mocking, stubbing and testability
  • Integrate tests with Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Implement test reporting and quality gates
  • Use Git and participate in code reviews
  • Manage test data and SQL-based validation
  • Diagnose failures across tests, applications and environments
  • Coach and collaborate with engineering teams on risk, coverage and maintainability
  • Participate in CV review, HR call, interview, client interview and decision stages

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on quality engineering or SDET experience across multiple test layers
  • Strong TypeScript skills and practical experience improving Playwright frameworks
  • Experience with API and integration test automation, plus an understanding of contract testing
  • Ability to work with developers on unit and component testing, mocking, stubbing and testability
  • Hands-on Azure DevOps pipeline integration, test reporting and quality gates
  • Confident using Git and code reviews
  • Experience with test data and SQL
  • Experience diagnosing failures across tests, applications and environments
  • Strong collaboration and coaching skills
  • Pragmatic approach to risk, coverage and maintainability
  • Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required
  • Nice to have: experience with .NET, React, Azure Service Bus or distributed systems
  • Nice to have: working knowledge of accessibility basics (WCAG), performance basics and security/privacy awareness in test data
  • Nice to have: familiarity with AI/LLM tools for quality
  • Nice to have: familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices and willingness to explore and experiment
