Manage purchasing activities for assigned categories, from purchase order creation through delivery follow-up, ensuring accuracy of quantities, pricing, and timelines
Identify and evaluate suppliers and sourcing options to meet business requirements for cost, quality, and availability
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers while identifying cost-reduction opportunities
Participate in the negotiation, review, and follow-up of supplier agreements in accordance with company policies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and practices to improve efficiency and reliability
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and material procurement
Experience negotiating with suppliers and identifying cost-reduction opportunities
Experience with an ERP/MRP system; EPICOR experience is an asset
Fluency in both French and English, written and verbal, to communicate with local and international suppliers and stakeholders outside Quebec
