About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead teams delivering subsea engineering projects for clients
- Lead subsea system design to applicable codes and standards
- Oversee development of subsea engineering digital tools and products
- Work with proposal and project teams to deliver high-quality, high-value outcomes
- Evaluate, organise, and prioritise workload
- Oversee Subsea Engineers and provide regular feedback
- Manage delivery scopes for client deliverables, including design calculations, analysis models, specifications, study reports, and presentations
- Mentor other subsea engineers
- Participate actively in training and continuing professional development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 12 years' related industry experience
- BEng / MEng Mechanical Engineering related degree or equivalent
- Professional Chartered Status preferred or working towards attainment preferred
- Extensive subsea engineering experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry
- Experience in a consultancy environment
- Experience designing subsea engineering systems, including pipelines, risers, subsea systems, and cables for hydrocarbons, power, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen transmission
- Experience with integrity management work scopes, including Fitness for Service, Integrity Assessments, and Life Extension studies
- Experience coordinating pipeline operational support scopes
- Technical knowledge of related disciplines, including flow assurance, process engineering, technical safety, and risk, to manage project interfaces
- Experience in project management and project controls
- Ability to work in an organised manner individually and within multi-discipline delivery teams
- Proven leadership characteristics, enthusiasm, and strong attention to detail and delivery
- Excellent written and oral numeracy and literacy skills
- Offshore experience and certification advantageous but not essential
