About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and maintain the partner compliance framework across a mixed partner base, aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements
Lead onboarding hands-on, including xpate onto partner platforms and xpate clients onto partners
Collect, prepare and submit onboarding documentation, questionnaires, procedures and compliance materials
Act as the main point of contact for compliance conversations with partners, including RFIs, follow-up questions, periodic reviews and ongoing requests
Work across business, risk and legal to keep onboarding and ongoing partner processes moving
Identify gaps between partner requirements and internal processes and propose workable solutions
Track progress, timelines and dependencies so launches happen on schedule
Build, improve and document partner onboarding and compliance processes as xpate scales

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years in compliance, onboarding, partnerships or risk within payments, fintech, banking or another regulated environment
Confidence with compliance documentation: AML/KYC frameworks, policies and procedures, due diligence questionnaires, regulatory requirements
Ability to run several onboardings at once without losing the thread on any of them
Comfort switching between very different regulatory contexts
Precise writing suitable for a partner's compliance officer and clear enough for a colleague in sales
Fluent English, written and spoken
Strong organizational skills and ability to build and maintain trackers
Nice to have: onboarding experience with acquirers, PSPs, banking partners or card schemes
Nice to have: familiarity with EU/UK frameworks such as EMI, PSD2, AMLD, DORA and the EU AI Act, and with safeguarding requirements
Nice to have: experience creating a process that remains in use
