About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Offer timely and quality best-in-class experience and services to clients and customers
- Respond to client requests with a quick, flexible, and operational approach based on sound strategy and coordinated with Xpera’s policies and procedures
- Conduct covert surveillance investigations by vehicle and/or on foot
- Conduct investigations in a strategically appropriate manner coordinated with client intent, seeking management guidance as required
- Complete pre-operation planning, assignment assessment, evidence collection, and reporting
- Monitor assignment timelines and budgets to ensure completion on time and within budget
- Produce accurate, detailed notes and reports according to Xpera protocols and practices
- Obtain professional-quality video and photographic documentation of subjects
- Obtain information or intelligence legally, ethically, and confidentially
- Attend court or legal proceedings as required
- Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working condition
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 2 years of field surveillance investigative experience
- Experience working in a client-focused environment
- Experience in law enforcement is an asset
- A valid Private Investigator Security License within the applicable province of employment
- A valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of all levels of the Canadian court system, criminal and civil code in Canada, insurance law, and privacy legislation is an asset
- An understanding of threat risk assessments and analytics
- Exceptional communication and written skills
- An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially with Word and Excel
- An ability to work under pressure to meet demanding timelines while maintaining focus on the task at hand
